I only had this little yarn left from what I bought last summer to make a cardigan for Lumi (a friend’s baby).
Only that little yarn from three skeins of Phildar Quiétude in Opera (red), and two in Black. However, to do this, I had to knit something else than a baby cardigan. I have two lovely finished objects for you:
- Pattern: Loosely based on Peach Blossom Baby Jacket
- Yarn: Phildar Quiétude, 2.25 skeins in Opera, and 1.25 in Black.
- Needles: 4.5mm (100cm) Circular Addi Natura, and 4.5mm Mei-Mei DPNs
- Gauge: 20 st and 24 rows = 10 cm square
- Size: Hopefully, to fit Lumi ;-)
Notes:
- I made two more sets of raglan increases, to make the cardi a bit bigger. Lumi is a big baby!
- I added a black stripe over the sleeves and the body, because I wanted to.
- Finally, I made a button band with button holes, and sewed in five cute little buttons I found at Veritas
- Pattern: My own, slightly based on the hat from this baby bee hat and booties set. I will be writing this pattern out in brief.
- Yarn: Phildar Quiétude, 0.75 skeins in Opera, and 0.75 in Black.
- Needles:4.5mm Mei-Mei DPNs
- Gauge: 20 st and 24 rows = 10 cm square
- Size: Adult head
On other news, there are only four days left till I fly again to Belgium. And I’ll be staying for over a month, coming back to Spain to take a couple tests, and then return. Hopefully, I’ll be studying for these tests, learning dutch, and working. Busy bee!
